American Crime (John Ridley) which is completely different then American Crime Story (Ryan Murphy), has to be one of the best shows on television right now. The first season of the show was good, but the second season is off the charts!
With the same cast as last year, but a completely different story. This years story involves around a boy who is attending a private school, who ends up getting rape at a party thrown by members of the basketball team. Mot of the students come from rich families, and there are some that are on a scholarships, but they all are treated differently by the members of the school. From race to their financial background.
Felicity Huffman plays the guidance counselor at the school who is only looking out for the best interest of the school. Lili Taylor plays the mother of the boy who was raped, and she will do anything to get justice for kid after the school does nothing. Regina King plays the mother of the basketball player who throw the part, and he also 18 which means that his named can be used.
The shows give people in insight about when boys get raped people tend to not believe that it can happen to them, and how it is hard to prove that it is true. How a mother will to save her son from both ends of the spectrum.
I would recommend that everybody watch this show. American Crime airs Wednesdays on ABC.
