Poem: The Game

Where did this all go?

That is the question that wakes me up that also puts me to sleep.

I try to write it all down, but my mind goes blank once I see the page.

I try to think of the day we saw eye to eye, but it never came to be.

The drench of the heart that pounds as we part is nothing less than sweet.

The eyes that pour as we tried to say I do, to the day we sign that line for us to undo.

Thing was supposed to last, then the storm came, and the dreams started to fade.

The writing that was on the wall, was all true which make the pain even worse.

This was just another life lesson that I never wanted to learn.

That is why this game is called life.
